Students of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of TSTU visited the exhibition

Students and teachers of the Department of Biomedical Engineering visited the 29th International Exhibition "Medical Equipment, Medical Products and Consumables" in Moscow, which was held from 2 to 6 December at the Expocentre Fairgrounds on Krasnaya Presnya.

The main purposes of the trip were acquaintance with modern medical equipment, new technologies in its production and sale, an overview of the manufacturers' market, as well as communication with potential employers with the aim of further employment or practical training.

The Healthcare Exhibition is the main platform for demonstrating new developments in medical technology, modern consumables and innovative medical products. This is a meeting place for representatives of healthcare authorities, managers and leading specialists of medical institutions with manufacturers and suppliers of modern equipment and other goods necessary for healthcare.

On an area of ​​about 50 thousand square meters. m, the whole range of modern equipment and medical products, the latest technologies and scientific and industrial developments, the latest world and domestic achievements in all areas of health care were presented.

The exhibitors were presented with functional diagnostics, radiology, ultrasound equipment, ultrasound, laser technology and devices; innovative medical technologies; stationary and mobile laboratory diagnostic, medico-genetic clinics, centers; consumables, sutures, medical clothing; medical furniture; design, complex equipment of hospitals, doctor's offices; modern information technologies in medicine.

Students of the Department of Biomedical Engineering continued cooperation with MTO Stormov, which has been on the medical equipment market for 27 years and is currently one of the largest trade and industrial organizations in Russia.

Inna Livshits, deputy director for educational and methodological work, MTO "Stormov", spoke about the company's activities, equipment, work prospects, and also gave useful advice for students.

Students of the Department of Biomedical Engineering shared their impressions of visiting the exhibition.

“Visiting the Healthcare-2019 exhibition was an incredible event for me this year. I was 100% convinced of the prospects of my chosen direction for training. The exhibition impressed me with its scale, a huge number of first-class modern medical devices and complexes. I tried to pay special attention to the review of anesthesia and respiratory equipment. I was very impressed with the Dräger Perseus® A500 Anesthesia Station. I also managed to communicate with representatives of various companies. I hope to visit this exhibition next year, ”said Yana Shnyakina, a student of the BBS-11 group.

“The Healthcare 2019 exhibition made a great impression on me. It was very interesting for me to get acquainted with the products of world famous companies and study a variety of medical equipment, as well as ultrasound machines, which are the topic of my presentation on the discipline "Introduction to the specialty". This was the first time I attended such a significant event, and it was amazing. I was delighted to represent our university and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. I hope that we will visit many more similar events and learn a lot of new things both for ourselves and for our specialty, ”said Artyom Avetisyan, a student of the BBS-11 group.

“I was impressed with the level of organization and the variety of medical technology presented. For me, I especially remember the stand of the Russian company ExoAtlet, which develops and manufactures medical exoskeletons, and the site with the PMK - the scale of the exhibition is surprising. At the event, the latest commercial models of domestic and foreign manufacturers are exhibited, which allows tracing industry trends and the demand for certain areas. Direct contact with representatives of large companies opens up additional employment opportunities, ” Grigory Ilyin, a student of the BBS-11 group , shared his impressions.

“The Healthcare-2019 exhibition made a great impression. There was an opportunity to communicate with representatives of enterprises, to learn about the possibility of doing an internship and a potential place of work after receiving a diploma. Most memorable was the stand of the Tulinovskiy instrument-making plant "TVES", which specializes in measuring instruments. In the first year, our group went on an excursion to this plant. It was very pleasant to meet representatives of the Tambov region at such a significant event. At the stand were presented models of medical scales and a diagnostic complex "Health", with the help of which it is possible to carry out self-diagnostics of the body without consulting a doctor, and to identify violations in the following systems of the human body: cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, respiratory. Determine the psychomotor reaction, make an anthropometric examination: measure height, weight, hand strength, blood pressure, body temperature, determine the vital capacity of the lungs. I also liked the stand of Sonoscape, which produces ultrasound machines and video endoscopic systems. It was possible to check on myself how different modes of modern ultrasound machines work, for example, 4D - a mode of three-dimensional reconstruction in real time ", - told the student of the group BBS-31 Alexey Milyutin.
