TSTU awarded the best scientists on Science Day

On the eve of the Day of Russian Science, on February 7, a solemn event was held at the Tambov State Technical University, at which the best scientists were announced and awarded for the year in eight nominations.

TSTU annually celebrates Science Day. Rector Mikhail Krasnyansky, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Dmitry Muromtsev, First Deputy Chairman of the Tambov Regional Branch of the All-Russian public organization "Union of Machine Builders of Russia" Alexander Pakhomov congratulated all those present on Science Day.

“Today we have a serious responsibility on our shoulders - to become worthy successors of the work of Soviet and Russian scientists, to bring our country into the top five world leaders in the scientific field. Such ambitious goals are set before us by the national project "Science". To do this, we must develop the most promising scientific directions, develop the latest technologies and prepare a worthy replacement for the outstanding minds of the past and the present. On this festive day, I thank everyone who linked their lives with the noble deed of serving science, for their selfless, creative work and dedication to their work, " Mikhail Krasnyansky congratulated the scientists.

On this day, the university traditionally honored scientists who achieved outstanding results and contributed to strengthening the scientific reputation of TSTU. So this year, leaders were announced in such nominations as "Effective Dissertation Council", "Leader of Publication Activity", "Scientific Project of the Year", "Best Scientific Tutor", "Innovative Breakthrough of the Year", "Scientific Publication of the Year", "Young Scientist of the Year ”and“ Graduate Student of the Year ”.

Doctor of technical sciences, professor Stanislav  Dvoretsky and doctor of technical sciences, professor  Aleksey Tkachev were awarded in the nomination "Effective dissertation council" for the high performance of the dissertation council  . 

The leaders of publication activity for the largest number of scientific articles cited in international databases in 2019 were Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor  Sergey  Lazarev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor  Alexei  Tkachev and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor  Gennady  Kulikov.

In the nomination "Scientific Project of the Year", the laureate was the development of technology and a set of equipment for generating electricity from by-products generated during the utilization and processing of waste from poultry factories, food, forestry and woodworking industries (head - Rafail Isiemin).

In the nomination "Scientific publication of the year" the award was given to the scientific and practical information journal "Law: history and modernity", which was included in the list of journals of the Higher Attestation Commission last year.

Nariman Memetov became the leader in the "Innovative Breakthrough of the Year" nomination for the development of innovative infrastructure and the creation of an engineering center "New materials and technologies for civil and dual use."

Doctoral student Anton Potlov was awarded in the "Young Scientist" nomination for his significant contribution to the development of science and technology. He is engaged in scientific research in the field of tomography of biomedical objects.

Galina Besperstova and Alkhilo Zaman Abud Almalia Abud Ali were recognized as the "Postgraduate of the Year".

In the nomination "First steps in science" for numerous victories in olympiads in various subjects, Yuri Dmitrievtsev, a student of the 11th grade "M" of Lyceum No. 6 in Tambov, was awarded.

2020 is a special year for our country. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. At the holiday dedicated to the Day of Science, scientists of the university - participants in the Great Patriotic War, who made an invaluable contribution to the victory over the enemy, were also remembered.

The presenters of the holiday noted that our science during the war is the hard and long work of thousands of scientists in mortal danger, the selfless work of employees, scientific and technical intelligentsia at the limit of physical and spiritual strength, often in conditions of cold and hunger: “We bow before endurance , courage, dedication and loyalty shown by scientists on the fronts of the war. But the main contribution of physicists, mathematicians, chemists to the victory over the enemy was work in the rear, in scientific laboratories and at test sites. "
